Ellie Mae

Hello to the amazing Little Mutts Rescue Team!!

Just wanted to give you an update on little Miss Ellie Mae aka Miyoko who we adopted October 18th, 2018.

Ellie Mae has been with us for just over one year and has settled into her new fur-ever home very well.  She knows this is her turf and protects it when necessary – all 7 lbs of her.  Ellie is such a cuddle bug and loves to watch tv with me or get under the covers when we go to bed.  From the start she had great puppy manners and we have both figured out the signs to let her outside to do her business. She enjoys her walks and treats like; cucumbers, cauliflower, carrots, apples, cheese and just about anything that falls on the floor.  We have been trying to encourage her to play with the numerous toys she has but she would rather just cuddle up and sleep.  I certainly don't mind.

Thank you again for your patience in finding me the perfect match – Ellie Mae.  She continues to bring me joy, laughter, love and lots of kisses.

Everything is going great with Carmine (now Frankie!). He was a pretty nervous little pup when I got him but he has calmed down and settled in. I mostly had him tethered for the first few weeks but I have start letting him off the past few days and he seems to be doing great. He has had a few 'accidents' inside but otherwise he is doing well and is enjoying exploring the house! He is also getting use to walking on a leash and is less scared when we come across other people on our walks.
I also took him in for his first vet appointment and everything went well. He is scheduled for his first hair cut in about two weeks from now so he will get a nice trim and his nails cut.
I had my mom's dog over for about a week (dog sitting) and they got along really well. By the end of the week they were cuddling up on their dog bed together!

All is well and I am totally in love with him. He is such a sweet little boy :) I have included a few pictures so you can see how he's doing!

Bruce previously Armstrong

Bruce, previously Armstrong and I are absolutely obsessed with each other! That may even be an understatement!!  The first day was a little bit of an adjustment he had to get comfortable in a new house and with his new sister Stache, who is rather terrifying when shes running laps around playing with her toys! However,  I'm happy to report back that these two are really becoming best friends. Bruce went camping this year and loved it, he loves being outside and exploring with us. New places are still a little scary but every new visit becomes less scary. His favorite is snuggling in under the covers at bed time and playing ball in the yard. I love him so much and so thankful LMR was able to connect us.

Pennie Now Mina

A walk with Pennie/Mina

My California girl keeps me on my toes and I have learnt so much from her.  It has taken both patience and determination to earn her trust.  And it has frequently been a source of both pride and humility.  I am a truly a better person for having her in my life.

At heart Mina is a serene cuddle bug and loves to bask in love and approval.  Seeing her blossom and become secure in the fact that she is loved and wanted is one of the most rewarding things I have ever experienced.  And she returns that love tenfold.

I thank Little Mutts for this precious girl and the journey that we are on together.

Sassy is doing well in her new home, I would have to say that it is  like she has always been part of our family, she gets along so well with everyone and our other dog 'Buddy' is of course her best friend.    Some of her favourite things to do are snuggling and giving kisses, going for long walks and chasing Buddy around.

Thank you to everyone at Little Mutts Rescue for letting Sassy find us.
