Boo, is referred to as Boo Bigfoot by our 7 year-old daughter Sunny. The two are together all the time, and love to play a game of cat and mouse, with a stuffy or raw hide. Boo Big foot is very patien t with Sunny as she totes him here, there and everywhere she goes. When we first got Boo home he had some social issues, that we are still working on, but he has made a lot of progress with guidance, love and trust. With that being said, Boo Bigfoot is guiding, loving and trusting us as a family to let us teach him good behavior. We could tell that when he acted out, it was out of fear. I can’t begin to tell you how much he has improved in just the 3 months we have had him. Boo loves to chase bugs and birds. Unfortunately he found a wasps nest under the deck and was stung on his paw. He let me remove the stinger with tweezers, yes he cried, but he didn’t bite, or snap at me, it was such an eye opener and affirmation never to give up.
He had a terrible fungal growth in his ears and we have been able to keep it at bay, with drops and hypoallergenic food. At first getting the drops in his ears was a daunting if not scary task, but now has become a ritual that he is use to. He no longer growls and snaps, and lets us put the drops in his ears with not so much as whimper.
Boo is perfectly house broken, loves his walks and will plop down, in 4 star fashion, when he has had enough and will get carried home. He loves children and will often invite himself to play because he is very curious. Being an intelligent little dog, he is easy to train.
This summer Boo went on family vacation with us and visited 4 places. Gimli Beach, MB., Ste. Anne, MB., Stonewall, MB., and Kelowna B.C.. We also took him camping at Livingston River, AB. It was comforting having Boo while we roughed it, because being in the bush and isolated we knew Boo would protect us with all his heart and being.
Boo is the mad kisser !! He loves to kiss and will sneak one in when you least expect it.
Boo’s our little guy, and plays a big part in our family.
