It has been a year...in more ways than one!
One year ago we decided to foster with Little Mutts. I had no idea what I was getting into as a foster. We showed up at the airport to collect our first ward and were presented with an under-nourished, under-weight, and sick little terrier-cross who should have been 15 pounds, but was nowhere close to that at the time. I was dismayed that any animal could be treated in such a way as to reach this condition. In writing this I am reminded that this is what Little Mutts does...they rescue. I am sure that this little dog would not be bringing joy to the world today if not for Little Mutts.
Gogul was the name given to the poor little pup and he still goes by that name. I know this because we still have him. It turned out that fostering was not part of our talent base, so we adopted Gogul.
It has been a challenge to train him in the ways of civilization, but he is getting there. He can bark like a little terror (I call him my “terrorier) in some situations and then be like an angel in others. But one thing is for sure...he has my heart wrapped around his little paw. I love him dearly and give a great big thank you to Little Mutts for taking the initiative to rescue Gogul when no one else seemed to care. I can’t imagine my family’s life without him.
