We adopted Kola ( Emerett) from Little Mutts Rescue in June and It was an amazing experience from beginning to end.
We had lost our old dog in March and were going to wait awhile before adopting again. But when we saw how sad our 3 year old Cocker Spaniel was now that he was on his own we decided in June to try again.
Little Kola moved into our home and did very well almost immediately. He was unsure for a couple of days but it didn't take him very long to settle in and know that he was going to have an amazing life with us and with our other dog. He was definitely a true puppy but with love and patience at only 9 months he has already turned into the perfect pup.
He is at the dog park everyday and loves everyone he meets. He runs and runs but has incredible recall and loves to be outside with all his dog buddies. We have a rescue cat too and in the beginning there was a lot of chasing but they have now become best friends too. We took him on a beach holiday this summer and although he was not crazy about the water he LOVED the paddle boards and would go on them with our daughter for long periods of time.
I have always adopted rescues and have had a lot of different experiences with all sorts of rescue organizations. I honestly can not say enough good things about Little Mutts Rescue. From the beginning with the application, to the amazing foster home that he spent a few days in to our home now. All of these dogs end up in incredible homes but their crucial time is from when they are rescued by such wonderful people and the care that they receive when they go into the fosters. I meet a lot of people at the dog park that are looking for a new member of the family and I always tell them about Little Mutts!!!! Thank you!!!!
