We adopted Tiger in October 2013 and were new to the adoption process. One of our requirements when looking to adopt was needing a dog that is quiet since we live in a condo. We are shocked to say that he has yet to even make a sound in the house and only barks when he’s trying to get other dogs (or cats!) to play with him. His foster family warned us of all the kisses he loves to give and the moment he came home, we were covered. He is extremely affectionate and loves snuggling up on the couch or in bed at night. He also loves his toys and bones and will keep himself busy for hours. He wasn’t 100% house trained when he came to us, but adapted to our schedule immediately with only 1 accident in the first week. And after a month, he has learned to sit by the door if he needs to go outside.
He came from Texas so the first snowfall was a surprise to him but he quickly realized how fun it is to run in the snow and how tasty it is. He loves going on runs and walks, is the best companion in the car and loves to meet new friends at the park and within our family. He was very timid around larger dogs at first, but he is slowly getting used to them by going to the dog park. His terrier breed is known for their intelligence and we can see it everyday, whether it be learning new tricks or testing us to see what he can get away with.
Overall, Tiger is just a complete sweetie that loves life. He loves to play and always has his tail wagging, I honestly can’t understand why he was ever up for adoption and we feel so lucky to have him in our lives. The process of adopting through Little Mutts was so simple and easy and meeting with the foster family was great to really understand him before we made our final decision. We look forward to adopting many more dogs from Little Mutts in the future.
